Research interests

I’m a physical geographer and marine ecologist who is mainly interested in how light mediates ecology. My current research explores how our beloved ecosystem engineers, coral reefs, shape underwater light landscapes.
I am developing a model to simulate and predict how light rays are scattered and blocked as they move through these complex habitats, with the ultimate goal of understanding how physical patterns influence the organisms and ecological processes that depend on underwater light.
